Lacey on Substack

Hi, I'm Lacey Artemis.I'm a late diagnosed neurodivergent (Autism+ADHD) creative entrepreneur.I was born awkward. Baked-in. Factory installed. I had less charisma than a wet paper bag. And it was costing me opportunities and happiness.

I was happy making creative projects, but art wasn't financially viable. And I was happy when I got to connect with other people. But I wasn't confident or a strong speaker. So I did what so many do - I got a 'safe' (aka boring) day job. And I did that 'dance' for 15 years. Where my social skills mattered less - but ultimately so did my happiness.I eventually realized I was missing out on a lot of opportunities because of my awkwardness, and I had to change that.I leaned into what made me me - I leaned into curiosity, creativity, and playfulness. And I embraced all facets of myself.

Something I have noticed consistently throughout my whole adult life - when people get to do or talk about what they're passionate about, they light up - they come to life. They SHINE.That spark is in everyone, it's often suppressed by so many external (and some internalized) factors. We often need help overcoming those factors.

My journey to improve my confidence and connect with people more effectively led me to public speaking, but that's definitely not everyone's journey. But when you tap into that passion, and you SHINE, it naturally draws people to you, and you feel GOOD.So you need to find your Shine Language, and bet on yourself.

Whatever lights you up, i'll help you embrace your so-called 'flaws', overcome limiting beliefs, and as as result, you will shine more and work towards building the life you want.To become your own biggest cheerleader, like I did. No public speaking required!
